Joey’s Blues News: April 2015
Joey’s Blues News April 2015 Vol. 4
Welcome to the April 2015 edition of our newsletter: Joey’s Blues News
This month we celebrated the ordination of Father James Mary and 6th class boys who made their confirmation.
The boys in 6th did us proud with all parents on the day remarking on the beautiful sacramental Mass.
We are also the talk of Fairview as most of our school went to the Church to be present for Father James Mary’s first Mass. Our Parish Priest and the Head of the White Friar order told us afterwards that they were thrilled to have the boys in blue present for the Mass. Everyone commented on how well behaved our boys were for that special occasion. Well done to all!
We also celebrate the good news of the winning, for St. Joseph’s of our fifth Green Flag for biodiversity. A huge amount of work was put in for this new flag. The whole school is appreciating the beauty of our world and we are learning how to protect our environment too.
All boys in every class are reading everyday and are doing ‘DEAR’ time!
And finally we have some colour photos for you to enjoy and the feedback from the parents/pupil surveys. We had an 85% response and that was a fantastic result. There’s definitely a lot of writing in this month’s newsletter but we felt it was important for you all to see it. We are very grateful for your ongoing help and support, in helping us make Joey’s even better.
Chat again at the end of May and keep an eye on the website for news alerts.
Warm Regards,
All in Joey’s.
