Each Class had a winner so congratulations to Aaron, Ross, Jason, Cian, Mark, Joe and Danny.
A big CONGRATULATIONS to the over all winners of the 2 hampers ,JJ and Sam, and the Man United Egg , Nathan.
Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket for the raffle which was a school fundraiser. Altogether we raised over €400. As Ms Fiztpatrick said the Students Council have raised the issue on numerous occassions of the condition of the goalposts in the yard. So, as promised before the break, the money raised would go towards the purchase of new goalposts and as promised by Ms Fitzpatrick the new goalposts have been assembled and are ready to go. So thanks again to everybody!!!!
Day of Action
What a difference a day makes! On the day of the Easter holidays our friends at ACE Insurance, together with staff members, helped to transform the Best Little School in the World again! Everyone was hard at work both inside and outside. There was lots of painting inside and digging outside and then there was even more painting outside! The results are quite impressive. A huge thanks to everyone who gave up their afternoon to help us and particularly everyone from ACE Insurance. Thanks for your support. Here are some pictures we took before, during and after. Wait until you see the place on Monday
Students’ Council and Green School Committee
We now have our Students’ Council up and running. Each member of the council is also on our Green School Committee so they have been very busy over the last few weeks. We have been tidying the school, organising competitions and doing surveys with all of the boys throughout the school. This year, for the first time in Joey’s history, our students council is under the watchful eyes of two leaders. We have Taoiseach Jude Clarke from room 10 and Taoiseach Scott Lawless from room 13. Good Luck Men
Competitions at Joeys
We have just finshed a competition at Joeys. The competition was for World Book Day. We had to design and make bookmarks. Two winners have been chosen by the almighty Ms. O`Brien. We are in the process of organising a junior and senior Mastermind. It will begin after Easter and so will many other competitons such as sports day that will happen in June. We will keep you posted. This has been written by your Taoiseach Scott Lawless
