Annual Christmas Collection
It’s that time of year again when we do our annual collection for the Aoibhneas Women’s Centre in Coolock. Christmas is a happy time for most people but unfortunately not for everyone especially women and children who need to make use of sheltered accommodation. This will be the ninth year to run this collection and every year parents have been extremely generous.
We realise that things have become tough for everyone, but if you can, we are asking you to donate food such as pasta, rice, biscuits, packets of soup, canned food to the women’s refuge. Other items that would be welcomed would be new children’s clothes and new toys. There will be boxes outside the hall under the Christmas tree if you wish to send something in.
Glanmore Foods have kindly donated a huge hamper to the school.
So any boy who makes a donation, no matter how small or how big. will get a raffle ticket. The hamper will be raffled off on the last day of school and the owner of the ticket pulled out will win the hamper. There is no charge for a raffle ticket and every boy will only receive one ticket. Best of luck to everyone!!!!!!!!
Christmas Cards
The 6th Class boys were doing their bit the past few weeks making recycled Christmas cards with the 6th Class girls from St Mary’s.
The boys and girls made an incredible 660 cards. These cards will be on sale in the school for the next 2 weeks. The cards will cost between 25c and 40c. All money raised will be going to the women’s refuge. A big THANK YOU to all the 6th Class boys and girls for all their hard work. Also thank you to Ms Quinlan, Mr Crotty, Ms Starret, Ms McDermott, Margaret, Deirdre, Rachel, Terri, Ms Stewart and Ms McGarry for their assistance.
Thanking you again for your continued support and generosity.

Congratulations to all the boys who completed the Gold Boxing Programme over the last few weeks with Paul Quinn. Thanks to Will who looked after the boys each Wednesday afternoon travelling to and from the stadium. The two 5th classes had a great day last Wednesday supporting their classmates Michael Carruth was at the ringside offering words of wisdom and support as the boys showed off their boxing skills. We may have future Gold Olympic winners among this group of talented boys.
